Glamis Castle

Dating from the 14th Century, Glamis is said by some to be the finest castle in Scotland. The castle is famed as the childhood home of The Queen Mother and the setting for Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'.

Arbroath Abbey

In 1320, Robert the Bruce gathered his nobles to sign the Declaration of Arbroath asserting Scottish Independence. It's well worth a trip to this now ruined Abbey to learn more.
