About Us

The story of Greenhillock Camping & Glamping

Our Story

Greenhillock Camping & Glamping opened in 2016 and is the realisation of a long-held dream to share this special place with other people passionate about nature and conservation.

Husband and wife team Kate and Stig look forward to welcoming and hosting you.

We strive to balance the simplicity of camping in unspoilt countryside with just the right facilities close at hand. Relaxing in the wildflower meadows listening to the bird song is as much as you need to do to unwind for the weekend.

Originally a family rewilding project, over thirty years of conservation on the site means a rich and varied population of birds, insects, animals, plants and flowers make Greenhillock their home.

Our Philosophy

We provide plenty of opportunities for our guests to learn more about our wildlife and understand why bio-diversity and habitat conservation are important. Mini-beast hunts and pond dipping are a must of any stay here.

We believe that children and families need more opportunities to play and explore in wild places, so we encourage guests to build dens and light campfires and get away from screens and technology.

Children are encouraged to roam freely on the self-contained site, near enough for parents to relax, far enough to have their own adventures.

Our Eco Credentials

Greenhillock is the first eco-campsite in Angus. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by using renewable technology wherever possible. Electric hook ups are not provided and lighting is solar or LED. We provide charging points for electric vehicles.
