Description: Grab a bucket and get foraging! Try to be selective, take only what you need and where possible try and use things which have fallen to the ground naturally. Where things are abundant its ok to pick them. Never pick wildflowers, things like daisies, dandelions and buttercups are ok if there are plenty of them, flowers from your garden may be ok but ask a grown-up first!

Description: A largely 2D picture with a pinecone representing the hedgehog and two beech nut trees one with willow leaves and the other beech. Shrubs are represented by various leaves.

Description: Clever use of natural and artificial materials to frame a view of fungi growing up a tree branch. The viewfinder positions the viewer in the perfect spot to see the natural beauty in the park.

Description: Shortly after this picture was taken the entire piece blew into the hedge and the artist was forced to restart the piece inside!

Description: An indoor scene (or diorama) featuring a tent, bunting, picnic rug and poplar tree. Created with crafting materials as opposed to foraged natural ones.

Materials: Leaves (rowan, holly, horse chestnut, birch, hawthorn) pinecones, foam mat

Description: A 2D image where materials are placed in pleasing shapes (circles and spirals) and groups to create an abstract collage. Notice although there is not much contrast in the colour of the leaves, it is achieved through the shapes and textures, spiky glossy holly contrasts with delicate rowan and heart shaped young birch.
